IF you remember each time you use iPhone sugar sync to log-out, your files seem like they would be protected. There is apparently no way to tell this app that only certain files are to show up on the iPhone - everything that you sync between all your other computers (2 in my case) is visible - that's a lot of stuff out in the world. I tried syncing both password protected pdfs and MSWord docs, but the iPhone will not read them. ![]() I don't have my iPhone password protected - other than SugarSync there is no reason to. The this app app requires your this app login ID, but it doesn't automatically log out. At least my notebook has a fingerprint reader - and I can encrypt a few really sensitive files.īut its much more likely that someone else gets their hands on my iPhone. Its not likely that I will misplace my destkop computer. Since I have added this on my iPhone, they are now ALL visible on my phone. I have a number of files shared between my desktop and notebook computer, all synced by this app. But its strong functionality also raises a security problem. The application works exactly as advertised - easy to use, works great.
